Scintillate are a luxury high-end function band with over 15 years of industry experience.

We perform at weddings, corporate events and private functions in the UK & across the globe.

From 2020, Scintillate are offering a larger lineup to include full horn section for that extra wow factor at weddings and events.

Scintillate are one of the most popular wedding bands so we recommend enquiring well in advance, especially if your event is on a Friday or Saturday between May and October (peak wedding season). Please consider a weekday or Sunday wedding so we can have availability!

We play stunning renditions of all the biggest hits and play a plethora of genres; we spend tireless hours in the studio perfecting our own interpretations.

Scintillate have a vast repertoire which covers a wide variety of styles and genres such as Chart, Soul, Funk, Motown, RnB, Hip Hop, Garage and Swing, we can cater for all. 

Scintillate is predominantly the same band line-up at every event although we do have a pool of amazing like for like musicians to cover for any eventuality. The band's lead singer is Iddy Awan, one of the UK's top wedding singers.

As a luxury wedding band, Scintillate will work with you to tailor their set to your requirements & different line-ups can be booked for the ceremony, canapés, wedding breakfast, first dance and evening reception.

Scintillate are widely considered to be one of the UK's best wedding bands. Although based in London, the band performs across the world at luxury destination weddings, working with top wedding and event planners.

The band is in high demand with only a few dates still available in 2021 and 2022. Booking early is advised!

FAQs

What kind of events do you perform at?

We perform at a wide variety of events, including weddings, corporate events, product launches, birthday parties, charity functions and festivals.

Will there be more than one singer in the band?

Our lead singer is Iddy Awan...he's in all the videos of the band above. You can certainly add a female singer, which can work really well, especially with a larger band set up. We know several outstanding female singers who could join us. If Iddy is unavailable for your event, we also work with a fantastic young male vocalist called Stefan.

What musical instruments will be in the band?

The standard line-up will include male singer, guitar, bass guitar, drums and keyboards. Additional instruments include a horn or brass section made up of trumpet, saxophone or trombone.

What kind of songs will Scintillate band perform?

The band perform a range of classic soul and funk hits to more modern pop covers. Examples of artists we cover include Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Kool And The Gang, Jackie Wilson, Luther Vandross, Curtis Mayfield, Chic, Chaka Khan, Earth, Wind & Fire, James Brown, The Supremes and The Four Tops. We also perform modern pop, Garage and R&B covers from the likes of Pharrell, Craig David, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse and Bruno Mars. Add to that some swing, Rat Pack and jazz standards!

How much does it cost to hire Scintillate band?

We tend be more expensive than the average pop or rock covers band. Our starting price is £3,000. Our lead singer, Iddy Awan, can also be booked as a solo singer if the full band is over budget. Please enquire for more details.

How long do we perform for?

As is standard for wedding or corporate entertainment, we will provide around 2 hours of live music. This is often split into 2 x 60 minute sets, or 3 x 40 minute sets. We provide background music (a "laptop DJ service") in between the live music. We arrive at the venue at around 5pm and expect to finish by 12 midnight.

Is it possible to see the band live before I book?

It's often not possible to see Scintillate perform live before you book them for your wedding or event. Most professional wedding bands rarely perform at public gigs, as most of their bookings are at private events such as weddings and corporate events. It is possible from time to time though, so feel free to ask and we'll let you know if we have any public gigs coming up.
